Note: After husband Charles' death in 1852, his whole family appear to have moved to Glasgow, perhaps because Hellen was already living there. Isabella, his wife, returned at some time before 1871 to North Berwick where she is recorded in the 1871 census as living with her daughter Margaret and her husband in Quality St. After her daughter Margaret's death she moved back to Glasgow where she is recorded in the 1881 census living at Helensville, Pollokshields with the family of her daughter Hellen who died in 1880. She died there, aged 86, on 10 August 1884.
