Walter Turnbull's existence is documented only in the baptisms of his children, in Canonbie, Dumfries-shire, from Robert, 1744 through to Sarah 1769, several of which baptisms show him as in the Parish of Kirkandrews, some specifically state wife as Betty, and some specify "in Dykehead".
Not all entries have been checked beyond the indexes, but sufficient have been to conclude, at least for now, that the 11 children shown belong to Walter and Betty. Henderson-2297 08:07, 1 November 2017 (EDT)
