Biography

Margaret was born about 1849. She was shown in the 1851 and 1861 UK censuses at Ayton, Berwickshire. She is the daughter of Peter Swanston and Margaret Clazie. ^[1]

She married James Anderson in 1870 at Berwick on Tweed, Northumberland, England. ^[2]

In 1871, she was living at Berwick on Tweed with her husband James Anderson. ^[3]

The family were living at Coldingham, Berwickshire in 1881. Margaret was aged 31, and her husband aged 34, born in England. The children were John aged 9, Margaret 6, Mary Ann 4, Peter 3, James 2 and Jane 1. ^[4]
