= Biography

Angusina was born on the 23 August 1859 to George Sutherland and Mary Bannerman, a twin to her sister Mary Ann (Vidler). She had seven siblings and lived with her family in Wallan Wallan where her father George was a farmer.

Angusina's mother passed away in 1869 as a result of childbirth when she was 10. It appears that when her widowed father George moved to Euroa ,Angusena stayed in the Wallan area first with her aunt and uncle Betsy and Andrew Sutherland at " Harewood" Darraweit Guim and then with their daughter Marion Sutherland who married her brother-in-law John McDonald Wilson It is not known if Angusena was cared for by Mrs Ferguson whom George employed to housekeep and care for the children.

On the 10 Dec 1880 Angusena married Scottish immigrant, mining investor Donald Wilson (1845-1931) at Chalmers Presbyterian Church Manse. East Melbourne. The officiating minister was Rev Robert Scott MA. At the time of her marriage her address was given as Fitzroy and Donald's as Sandhurst

The couple settled at " Sunnyside" Cobrunga 17 miles from Omeo. Here they remained until their retirement, then they lived amongst their family .

Five children were born to the marriage James (Jim) MacKenzie, ( 1882) Annie Mackenzie ( 1885) Mary ( 1887( Donald Charles ( 1872) and Lydia Margaret ( 1900)

Angusina was well known and respected in the district. She was adored by her grandchildren, who have treasured memories of their holidays spent with their grandparents. She was a keen photographer and many of her photographs still exist today.

Angusina passed away at Nurse Healey's Private Hospital in Euroa aged 70 years in 1930. She was buried in Euroa. The service was conducted by Rev Lyall Hume.
