James was born in 1797.
He was married three times.
1. Isabella Silliman on April 29, 1826 (b Oct 19 1800, d June 2, 1833). They had four children : Samuel (b Mar 7 1827), Robert (b Apr 29 1828), Alexander (b Apr 4 1830) and James Jr (b May 6, 1833).
2. Martha E Taylor on March 12, 1835 (1811-1851); seven children : William (died young in 1843), Margaret (died young in 1843), Alvin H (1842-1900), John Q (1844-1907), Thomas (1844-1928), Anna E (1847-1916), and Martha (died 1851 aged 9 months).
3. Margaret Fullerton (1804-1886)
In the 1850 census James (age 53) was in Little Beaver Township, Lawrence, Pennsylvania, United States.[1]
He passed away in 1870.
