Biography

Jean Steil daughter of William Steel and his wife, Janet Craig, was baptised at Paisley on the 31st of August 1817. ^[1]

On the 19th of June 1841 Jean married Henry Drysdale. ^[2] They started out married life in the Thorn area of Johnstone ^[3] but by 1861 were living at the premises of G Partick Ltd. ^[4]

In 1881 Henry and Jean were living in Overton Rd with only their daughter Mary still at home. Henry was unemployed. ^[5]
