Note: exact date from Ian M. which agrees with birthday book day/month "20th Feb: Mr David SOUTAR". Age from from mar. cert and 1891 census implies 1843. Place from 1881 census.[1][2][3]

Died 06 OCT 1924. Cupar, Fife, Scotland. Note: "in his 82nd year" Dth notice reads: SOUTAR: at 7 North Union St Cupar-Fife on 6th Oct, David SOUTAR , Chestney House, St Andrews in his 82nd yr". [4][5][6]
