Biography

Jane Smith was born circa 1763^[1] most likely in Eskdalemuir, Dumfriesshire, Scotland.

She married David Graham^[1], the tenant at Cote Farm in Eskdalemuir^[1] sometime before the birth of their first child, William, in 1793.^[2]

She died 30 May 1847^[1] aged 84 years^[1] and was buried in Watcarrick Churchyard^[1].

• The Pedigree resource file note for David Smith Jr (b. 1764) gives Helen (Graham) Little (1755-1847) (daughter of William and Margaret, sister of David Graham, Jane Smith's husband) as his (David Smith's) wife.
