Allison was born about 1780. She was the daughter of George Sintone and Margaret Beaty.

Research Notes
1/ Birth date 1766-90. Since death is 1790 and name is not that of her mother or known family it has been assumed she was born nearer 1790 than 1766.
2/ Register entries for the established church at Hawick have gaps eg 'irregular (baptism) entries are frequent after 1770' It is also possible the Sintons belonged to a non-conformist church, of which only limited ones are available. [2]
