Richard William Edward Sinclair enlisted in the AMF during World War II on 4th December 1941, Service Number S18025. He was called up for full time duty on 5th February 1942. He enlisted in the AIF on 23rd June 1942, Service Number SX22907 and served in the 10/48 Australian Infantry Battalion in Darwin and the Northern Territory. He was discharged on 19th November 1945. Richard William Edwin Sinclair married Mary Elizabeth Brooker on 2nd February 1944 at the Wilkawatt Methodist Church, South Australia, Australia. Wilkawatt is in the Mallee Region of South Australia near Lameroo. Their marriage was announced in "The Advertiser" on Saturday 29th January 1944.
