Janet's death

Not: Dist 775 #126 Galashiels 1874, Janet FAIRBAIRN aged 72, and as she is the only Janet SCOTT/FAIRBAIRN in the index to 1876, I assume Janet died prior to civil registration OR in England?

From the research done by Debrett, commissioned by Martin Fairbairn in Feb 1986, in the burial registers of St Boswells was an entry for Janet Scott. "5 Jan 1853 Janet Scott, Maxpofffle, 63 Died Jan 1"
