Biography

William Thomas Scott was born at Glengallan on 12 November 1874. He was the son of William Scott and Sophia Neale.[1]

On 25 October 1901, at the Salvation Army Barracks in Paddington, he married Florence Elizabeth Bryant.[2]

William worked as a labourer[2] and conducted a carrying business around Brisbane city.[3]

He did not have good eyesight, so in 1913 he sold his carrying business and bought a dairy farm, "Scotsdale" near Kilkivan.[3][4][5]

William was blind by the time of his grandsons' (Stanley & Bevan) 21st birthday in 1955.[6]

William passed away on 29 August 1956, and is buried in the Kilkivan Cemetery.[1][7]
