Biography

Maurice was born in 1891 and died in 1953 aged 62. He is the son of Patrick Savage ^[1] and Mary Ann Hawkins. In 1919 he married Miriam Winifred Watson. ^[2]

Note Maurice had a cousin also called Maurice [Wilkitree-7300] (who was son of his father's brother Maurice). This cousin had a similar lifespan, born in 1889 & dying in 1954 aged about 64 in Windsor

2. ↑ Detailed Watson family tree held by Myles Hannan, the nephew of Miriam Watson. Maurice was working @ Harold Park Trots. He visited & met his 11 year old niece Mary Savage & her sister when she was only 11 & later had a conversation with his brother Richard (possibly to make up for some unknown conflict Mary suspects). Soon after this visit a notice was broadcast on the radio that M. Savage had died of a heart attack at Harold Park Trots (where he worked 1 day per week) & needed identification as he did not have any official papers on him. Mary's brother Peter was able to verify that it was his estranged uncle Maurice
