Biography

Ran away from home in Aberdeen, Scotland owing to the ill-treatment he received from his step-mother and settled in London. By 1813 he was established at 6 Maiden Lane, Covent Garden, as an ironmonger.He was for a number of years an Elder of the then existing Scottish Church in Swallow St (between Piccadilly and Regent St). He died of paralysis of the bladder
