Fran Rupp has been interested in genealogy since 1984. Her Grandmother who has a long line of New England roots on her maternal side sparked her interest. Fran's goal is to compile books, both in hard copy and digital for her relatives. The key is to avoid the box of pictures sitting in one persons closet, that are unnamed, stories lost, and discarded after the owner passes. Additionally, the numerous binders of research from over the years, may be too overwhelming to descendants, however, her hope is that a book, with photos, sources, and stories, as well as lineage, would be more interesting and more likely saved and passed on for future generations. A book also allows numerous copies to be made and presented to numerous lines of the same family. Books already presented include: The Keller Sisters: Fran's paternal Grandmother's German ancestors and her four sisters (Newark, Irvington, South River, Sayreville, New Jersey, USA); The Allgair Book: Fran's paternal Great Grandmother's German Family (Milltown, East Brunswick, South River, Sayreville, New Jersey, USA); The Rupp Book: Fran's paternal Grandfather's German roots (Langensteinbach, Karlsbad, Baden, Germany; Cornwall, New York; New York; Sayreville, East Brunswick, Milltown, and South Brunswick, New Jersey, USA; The A to Z Family Tree: Fran's maternal Grandparents story and ancestors (Glasgow, Scotland; Potik, Ukraine; Hillside, Union, and Sayreville, New Jersey, USA)

"Sources are critically important for genealogy. Some even say that genealogy without sources is mythology. Even if you're just a casual family historian recording modern family history, you will be helping future genealogists by listing where the information you've added came from."
Feel free to ask questions at our G2G forum. Also, our help pages menu, top right, has some very useful information.
Our Honor Code is why our community is such a friendly place to grow your family tree, so please take some time to read it. Want to join us? Check the volunteer box and leave a brief comment about your genealogical journey. Happy researching - Patt
