Looking for my Grandfather biological father. His birth certificate said illigetimate, and not father was named. However, my Great Grandmother, Catherine Mackay named her son: Francis McGwiggan MacKay, born July 29, 1915 in Glasgow, Scotland. So I am hoping this is a hint, since the name McGwiggan has no other known connection to the family. McGuigan may be the more common way to spell the name. A relative told us: She met a soldier on the boat. She used to go to Canada from Glasgow for work [edit]
