Biography

Carol was born to Rural Albert Rowe and Mable Fisher on 6 October 1905. A news article announced her arrival but erroneously reported that a boy - not a girl - was born to the Rowes ^[1]. She lived on her family's farm in Winfield, Kansas until the mid 1920s ^{[2] [3] [4] [5]}.

In 1929, she completed nurses' training at Wesley Hospital in Wichita, Kansas ^{[6] [7]}. She worked in various nursing positions in Kansas until the early 1930s ^{[8] [9] [10]}.

Carol married Charles Lewis Lilly I on 25 April 1934 ^[11]. The couple lived in both Chicago, Illinois, and Minneapolis, Minnesota, in the ensuing decades ^{[12] [13]}.

She passed away on 29 April 1998 ^{[14] [15] [16]}.
