Biography

Anne Riddle was the daughter of John and Mary McAffee Riddle. She was one of 9 children born to them.

Anne married James A. Staples August 10, 1811 in Waldo County Maine. Together they had two children; a son Mathew Riddle Staples and a daughter Mary Jane Staples.

Anne died sometime between 1814 and 1817 and it is thought that she is buried in her parents plot in the Bedford Center Cemetery Bedford New Hampshire.

Her husband James went on to marry Nancy N. Staples November 24, 1817, the daughter of Crawford and Ruth Staples.
