Janet's birth / parents

Many trees show Janet as daughter of Thomas PURDIE and Margarate LEGGET, baptized 1807 Selkirkshire. This conflicts with Janet's death cert.; matching baptism and birth place in census.

The Janet ,mother Margarate LEGGET, 1807 baptism entry shows father Thomas was a stocking maker in Selkirk. Thomas and Margaret had married in Dec 1802, Thomas of Selkirk parish, Margaret of Wilton, daughter of John^[8][9]
