In the 1851 Scotland Census George is said to be aged 45 years and employed as an Agricultural Labourer residing with his wife and 5 of his children at Broomilees, Melrose, Roxburghshire[4].
In the 1861 Scotland Census George is said to be 56 years old and employed as a Farm Steward residing with his wife, son and grandchild at Broomilees, Melrose, Roxburghshire[5].
George died on 11 November 1870 in Harwoodburn, Galashiels, Selkirkshire aged 66[6].
Between the BigY timeframes, and the y67 exact match estimates from FTDNA a common ancestor born around 1700 is certainly in the right timeframes currently estimated.[8]
