Hello Tory,

Welcome to Wikitree and to the genealogy of the Bahamas.

Like you, I have ancestors from the Bahamas, including Descendants of Frederick Higgs, who married my first cousin once removed, Catherine Ceruti. I have yet to find his parents. In the process of searching, I have found the following results regarding the Higgs and Pinder families on Spanish Wells. These profiles may represent people related to us.

I have a living cousin on Wikitree who descended from Fred and Catherine Higgs. If you would like to meet her on Wikitree, I can arrange an introduction. I will also ask her if she wants to meet you.

It seems to me that someone (not me) should start a Higgs name study on Wikitree. I already have too much to do. Maybe then we can break down some of our genealogical brick walls.
