Pike-14381 and Pike-8493 appear to represent the same person because: There is no evidence to support Francis William Pike being the son of the William Pike who came to Tasmania on the ship Thalia in 1823.

I believe this is the same person as Francis William Pike, who was baptised on 13 March 1825, at Sidmouth, Devon, England, the son of James Pike and Mary (Taylor) Pike
