Research notes
A tentative ID for Jemima Parker's mother Sarah's fate later than 1788 is the Sarah marrying James Tyrrell in 1793 and having family in Saffron Walden.
The logic for this leap of faith was:
Saffron Walden as birth place of Jemima Parker on her death cert.
the 1788 baptism fits the scant other records we have for Jemima slightly better than the previously believed 1793 baptism
the indexing for the baptism of William Tyrell in 1793 to James & Sarah Tyrell has the same list of place names associated with it: Saffron Walden / Virley / Victoria Docks, and is indeed in the St Mary the Virgin, Saffron Walden parish register
DNA matches between a descendant of Jemima and descendants from three lines of descent from James Tyrrell and Sarah Parker [8]
So I have convinced myself that the Sarah marrying in 1793 to James Tyrrell living in Saffron Walden is the same as the Sarah baptizing a base born daughter Jemima in 1788. Henderson-2297 05:21, 25 January 2020 (UTC)
If this theory is correct you have many tested cousins on most of the above sites, but as they will be the half 4th or 5th cousin range, or more, a match between any two particular people is not guaranteed. Overall however a pattern of matches should emerge.
Another tack is to see if there are any direct female line descendants of Sarah's around?
Particularly one willing to test their mitochondrial DNA?
I know, from my own test, that Jemima, my 3* great grandmother on my direct maternal line, is haplogroup T2b4a. A mis-matching haplogroup will disprove this theory, a match would be good corroboration, particularly if supported by additional autosomal matches. No charge, I'll foot the bill.
