Research Notes

In the light of DNA matches between (currently) one descendant of Jemima with descendants of three lines of descent from Sarah Parker (who married James Tyrrell in 1793) [8] current information was reviewed and further research was undertaken.
Jemima's previously believed baptism in 1793, Braintree, Essex to parents of William Parker and Charlotte Parkerson has been replaced with a 1788 baptism to mother Sarah Parker, Henderson-2297 01:23, 17 January 2020 (UTC)
Although Jemima's death cert. shows her father as William Tyrrell, my current working assumption is that Jemima's mother Sarah is the Sarah Parker later marrying a James Tyrrell [9] who died sometime before 1841. Sarah and James' first born son was a William.
It is entirely possible that Jemima's son James, the informant for her death remembered William as a relation and confused the names of Jemima's step family.
Was Francis, 25 year old seaman with Jemima in 1841 a son? Jemima's informative death cert. gives ample scope as 7 children are listed as names/ages not known.
