Biography

Elizabeth Ogle (b. 08 Jun 1726 New Castle, DE - d. 1795 Montgomery, Virginia; bur. MacDonald-Bane cemetery),[1] was the daughter of Thomas Ogle and Mary Crawford. On 17 February 1754, she married Joseph (d. Feb 1809 Montgomery, VA; bur. MacDonald-Bane cemetery), son of Bryan McDonald /MacDonald and Catherine Robinson, at Wilmington, New Castle, DE. He was a miller, tanner and farmer who moved to Virginia around 1750, and may have been involved in the U.S. Revolutionary War. Although his exact role is unclear, and he may have played both sides.[1]
