Sara Murray was born at Bellriding Dumfriesshire, Scotland, daughter of David Murray (~1680– ) and Mary Carlyle (~1677–1752). She was one of four daughters.
Sara married John Haugh (born about 1730 in Dumfriesshire, Scotland). Their only surviving child was Mary Haugh (~1755– ).
Sara died before November 30, 1756 in Dumfriesshire, Scotland.

In memory of John Haugh in Dalton who died April 19th 1787 aged 82 years. Also Sarah Murray his spouse who died September 13th 1755 aged 34 years. Also John their son who died October 1755 aged 3 months. Also Mary Birrell his spouse who died November 22nd 1790 aged 72 years. Also John [Bell] and Margaret grand-children of aforesaid and children of James Bell, smith in Dalton. And also Margaret Bell his daughter who died March 10th 1792 aged 1 month. Mary Bell his daughter who died 1798 aged 3 years. Also above James Bell who died 19th December 1808 aged 65 years. Also James Bell his son who died at Morrocan Bay [Morant Bay?] Jamaica 10th November 1814 aged 37 years. Also Mary Haugh spouse of above James Bell, smith in Dalton, who died 31st October 1827 aged 73 years.[1]
