Born about 1801 in Perthshire, Scotland ANCESTORS Son of William Stewart and Isabella Dow Brother of Janet Stewart, Elizabeth Stewart [half], Christian Stewart, David Stewart [half] and William Stewart Husband of Jane (Gilruth) Stewart — married [date unknown] [location unknown]
William Stewart and Isabella Dow are my 4x gt grandparents :). (We have been seeking to definitively identify William's father James for decades)
I've been surprised to find how few Gilruths (with that spelling) there seem to be on WikiTree.
Thanks for taking responsibility for Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention adopted profiles will sometimes need from their profile managers. One quick way to find the profiles you adopted is by searching your Contributions List for the word "adopted" and "manager." You can find a quick link to your Contributions List in the My WikiTree dropdown menu.
If you will be working with any profiles needing GEDCOM cleanup, the AGC tool can help with formatting so that you can concentrate on the research. You can read more about it in the WikiTree AGC FAQ.
Let me know if you have any questions on how to find and record sources, merge duplicates, clean up GEDCOM biographies, and interpret the Suggestions report. I'm here to help!

Please excuse my interruption into I'm sure your busy life. I'm looking for the Grantham's in England or elsewhere other than the States. I have a Sir Thomas Grantham born: May 5, 1590 Linconshire, England. Died Sept 21, 1643. Essex, Massachusetts, USA. Looking for his parents. Have you got a clue on where I might look? Does anyone? England is almost as bad as researching the Native Indians. I did say almost... Lol Thank you for your time. Be Blessed Dana Grantham Collins
I see you have added a death location for William Pipe, however this is a completely unsourced profile and no source was left to prove this information.
Since #8 of our honor code: We Cite Sources is so very important, it would be great if when making these kinds of changes you would leave a source on the biography.
Thanks so much! Emma--Project Coordinator
As a very active Wikigree participant, I do not want to step on your toes. I have made changes in the Waightstill Avery [Avery-2508] profile by adding a portrait as the primary photograph. If you object, let me know and I will change it. I am a member of the Col. Alexander Erwin Chapter of the SAR as are two of Avery's direct descendants. The portrait is in the public domain. This Fall our SAR Chapter will hold a greve marking ceremony at Swans Pond.
