Thanks for your additions to the profile of Cornelia Haring. :-)
Regarding the private message you sent the New Netherland Settlers Project about that profile: Please post messages like that on the profile as profile messages; do not sent private messages. All profile managers are automatically notified about profile messages, AND a profile message has the benefit that your note about the family members you have found will be visible to anyone else who happens to visit the profile. :-) Messages like that can be ample notification to other WikiTreers regarding your intent to make changes. Adding well-sourced information about additional children is not the sort of change that people get nervous about (removing children and parents is a big concern, though). However, since Cornelia's profile is project-protected, you would not be able to connect the spouse and children yourself, so a public comment on the profile serves the purpose of letting all interested folks know about the added family members until the connection has been made.
Thanks for taking responsibility for Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention adopted profiles will sometimes need from their profile managers. One quick way to find the profiles you adopted is by searching your Contributions List for the word "adopted" and "manager." You can find a quick link to your Contributions List in the My WikiTree dropdown menu.
If you will be working with any profiles needing GEDCOM cleanup, the AGC tool can help with formatting so that you can concentrate on the research. You can read more about it in the WikiTree AGC FAQ.
Let me know if you have any questions on how to find and record sources; find or merge duplicates; clean up GEDCOM or merged biographies; or interpret the Suggestions report. I'm here to help!

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!
Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.
Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or special event. Read the goals and tasks of the project and join if it is a good fit.
Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.
