Pauline Mitchell

I am a direct descendent of Col. George Mitchell of Onslow Co, NC. Most of the documented information about him came from my 45 years of research. I was told not to give anyone my information but I thought they were as interested as I was. Well they were, they just didn't want to drive all over the country to search the dusty books in courthouses. scan scratchy microfilm in archives, watch for snakes in overgrown cemeteries or visit the distant cousins that could tell stories and give you leads as to were to look for others who could help you, so they took credit for my research. To tell you the truth I have never been to happy about it.

I do not have a gedcom at this time and do not want to post my 45 years of research just yet. I have given a lot of my research to cousins and they have put it on the internet and added things that are not correct or are completely wrong. Such as Bob Nichols family tree. There is not a William Mitchell between the Abraham's.
