Betty Ann (Eliza Ann) was born on August 21, 1869 in Tullygarley, Ahoghill, Ballymena, County Antrim, Ireland. She was the daughter of Robert McKane Millar (A Carpenter) and Eliza Francey/Frances. She was named Betty Ann on her Birth Record, but went by Eliza Ann on future records. [1]
On December 25, 1893 she married John Henry Curry in the Berry Street Presbyterian Church in Belfast, Ireland. John was recorded as Full Age, A Bachelor, and a Carter residing in Belfast and Eliza was recorded as Full Age, and a Spinster residing in Belfast. The witnesses were Archy Curry and Margaret Jane Hanna. [unsure of surname][2]
Eliza Ann and John can be found residing in a house 126 in Crimea Street (Shankhill, Antrim) during the 1901 Census of Ireland with their at that point 2 living sons. John was recorded as a Coal Dealer.[3][4]
Eliza Ann and John had a few more children together. Sadly, all of their daughters didn't live long.
Also, very sadly Eliza Ann passed away on October 2nd, 1908 (Age 39) at 6 Aberdeen Street in Belfast, Ireland. She was recorded as Married, and wife of John Henry Curry (A Carter). The Official cause was Phthisis Pulmonalis (9 months). It was registered by her Widower John Henry Curry who was present at the time.[5] She is interred in Carnmoney Main Cemetery (Plot# F 22) with 4 of her Children. [6] [7]
