Biography
Samuel was born about 1720. He passed away in 1802.
Chryse added the following from Chronicles of the Scotch-Irish settlement in Virginia; Vol. 03, page 222, which has Samuel McCune's will abstract as follows:
Page 204 (of will book?) - 8th June, 1798 (will written). Samuel (his mark) McCune's will, Sr. - to son John; to wife Elizabeth; to daughter Rachel Bell; to daughter Ann; to friend James Steele; to grandson Alex. Henry; to granddaughter Sarah Henderson; to grandchildren by daughter Mary, except granddaughter Mary Bell whom I raised and to whom I give £10 more (abstract doesn't list the other children by Mary); to daughter-in-law Margaret McCune, wife to John; to grandson Samuel, son to son William; to grandson Samuel, son to son John; to son Archibald; to son Samuel. Executors James Steele, Benj Stuart, James Grazer. Teste: William and John Thompson, Archibald Stuart. Proved 26th April 1802. Executors refuse. Administration granted to John and Samuel McCune.
