Dugald McCallum was born in Scotland UK about 1825 [1]. His parents were Dugald McCallum and Mary McKenzie, and appears to be the eldest of their 2 children... (This count may even be true, but his father D McC has other children listed on the Typhoon passenger list).)
He married Margaret Sinclair on 6th March 1846 at Gorbals, Lanarkshire, Scotland, when he was aged 21 years, and Margaret was aged 18 years.
They went on to have 13 children, with 6 born in Scotland UK, and 7 born in Victoria Aust.
Dugald appears to have come to Victoria in abt 1856 when aged about 31, according to info in his death cert. His wife (and mother-in-law Elizabeth SINCLAIR) came later? on the "Star of the East" with 5 of their children, arriving in early 1857.
The couple were together for 36 years, until Dugald died. Margaret lived until 1908.
He was generally recorded as a carpenter/joiner in Sandridge (Port Melb) VIC.
Dugald died in his home in Sandridge, now Port Melbourne, VIC in 1882, aged 57 years [2]
