Biography

Isabella (McAdie) Bain is a member of Clan Fergusson.

Isabella was born about January 1835 and was baptised at the Watten parish kirk on 1 March 1835.[1]

In 1851 Isabelle was living on the family landholding in Bower, Caithness. Her place of birth was said to be Watten on the 1851 Scotland Census return.[2]

Isabelle married Magnus Bain on 20 November 1854 in Watten.[3]

In 1861 she and Magnus were living in Kirk.[4]

Isabella died from uterine cancer. Magnus was the informant.

MacAdie-35 and McAdie-61 appear to represent the same person because: Hi, I believe this is the same woman, Isabelle McAdie, daughter of George and Catharine McAdie, married Magnus Bain, they had three children by 1861, the eldest Alexander (named after Magnus's father) and then George and Catharine (named for Isabelle's parents).
