"The Rev. Albert Loftin Manis, a minster of the Baptist church for 56 years......... He was married before coming to Missouri to Miss Martha Rymer, who died 33 years ago. The 4 daughters by this marriage, WHO SURVIVE are, Mrs. J.K Williams of Leeton, (this is Sarah because she signed his death cert as Informant-address, Leeton MO)

Mrs. L. C. GREER (this is my g gramma Adeline Manis-Greer who is buried in Greeley, CO)

Mrs. Tom GREER (this is the sister, Rosa Catherine Manis, who married Adeline's husbands BROTHER,Thomas.

Mrs. Ed. Booth of Kansas City, MO.? or Kansas??? (This I have been informed is Maggie aka: Margaret Mary who this memorial is all about. And maybe buried in the wrong place)

Death

Hope this is the right death cert. the date of birth is: Dec 27 1872 when I had Dec. 7 1874???????

The parents names are just slightly off:

"Anthen" not Albert Manis, and mother "Mary" when actually it is MARTHA Rimer...

And death cert gives "Johnson City, Tenn." (which is in Washington County) as place of :birth not Hawkins County.

Name of the husband is correct

The Informant is "Thelma Delph" of Virginia (I think that is what it says)

GOT it! Thelma is her daughter, born 1914 Kansas, and I guess married a Cuz' Delph.

probably buried near her husband and daughter Edna, her stone is not found at this time.

Warning: Check the data. A birth date should not be within eight months of a sibling's birth date unless they are twins born within a day of each other.

ANSWER: Eldridge brother's death cert is wrong OR Maggie's census record is wrong, both are accepted SOURCES, so which do you FIX?

FIXED: Her death cert makes her dob as Dec 27 1872 2 years earlier.
