Biography
Elizabeth Kay Malcolm was born on 7 July 1850 at Coburn Street, Gorbals, Glasgow, Lanark. Her parents were James Malcolm (1812 - 1855) and Margaret Cherry ( - >1869).
Elizabeth married John Clarke Paton (1848 - 1919) on 9 April 1869 in Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland.
Their children were:

- Julia R. Paton (1874 - 1918)
- Lavinia Paton (1877 - 1952)
- Georgina Paton (1879 - 1880)

- Elizabeth Kay (Paton) Bertwistle (1887 - 1965)
- Edward Malcolm Paton (1890 - 1952).
On 16 November 1886 Elizabeth emigrated to Halifax, Canada aboard the ship Norwegian.
In 1888 she moved to Pawtucket, Providence, Rhode Island.
Elizabeth died on 11 Mar 1903 at 270 Division Street in Pawtucket, Rhode Island aged 54 and was interred in Moshassuck Cemetery, Providence, Rhode Island. She was the daughter of James & Mary.[1]
