Thomas was born in 1821 in the newly created settlement of Richmond Canada as pointed out in his famous brother's biography .[1] He passed away in 1889. He lived his whole life in Richmond Ontario Canada. [2][3] Thomas married Marianne Collis around 1851[4][5], census record show them on adjacent lines. The couple had Six children and Thomas was a farmer as shown on the 1881 census. [6] That census also shows that 54 year old Eliza Lewis was living with them, she is listed as a widow.
Thomas Lewis Parents were Captain John Bower Lewis and Henrietta Jones. I know this because Thomas is buried in the same family plot as his parents [7][8][9]
