Biography

Robert was born in 1853. He was the son of Rev James Law and Eliza Ann Kidston.

At the time of the 1861 Canada East, Canada West, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia Census, Revd James, Robert, William K., John R.K., Andrew Bonar, and Mary E. Law (mistranscribed as "Lary") were listed as living in Richibuctou, New Brunswick, along with James' sister-in-law, Janet Kidston, a visitor, and a servant[1].

At the time of the 1871 Canada Census, James, Sophia, Robert, John, Bonner, Minnie, Janet, and Bessie Law (mistranscribed as "Lair") were listed as living in Richibucto, New Brunswick, along with a servant[2].

He married Isabella Brown on November 28, 1876 in Kent County.[3] She was the daughter of William Brown of Richibucto.[4]

At the time of the 1881 Canada Census, Robert, Isabella, James, Maud, and William Law were listed as living in Richibucto, New Brunswick[5]. At the time of the census, Robert's occupation was listed as "Store Keeper".

Isabella passed away in 1892 due to complications from childbirth.[6]

Robert died in Rexton, New Brunswick on January 23, 1902 of Consumption (Tuberculosis)[7], and was buried in Saint Andrew's United Church Cemetery, Rexton[8].
