Biography

Ina married Rev. Joshua E. Anderson in August of 1924 at Knox College, University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada -- the college from which Josh had obtained his Divinity degree. Ina taught elementary school in Lion's Head while still a teenager due to the shortage of teachers during WWI. She met Rev. Anderson while he was assigned to the Presbyterian church there.

Ina and Josh had three children: Howard, Ross and Helen, who were born while their father was in different pastoral charges. That is why the birth places of a minister's children vary so much.

Although Ina died at the Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington, Ontario while she was staying with her son Ross, she is buried with her husband in the Eastnor Township cemetery just outside Lion's Head, Ontario on the Bruce Penninsula. Ina spent some of her last years in Lion's Head in the old Laidlaw house, and the winter at the Golden Dawn Nursing Home where she wouldn't have to negotiate the hill in town during the cold and snowy winter.

Ina died on 21 October 1978.
