Always called Mayme by the family, Mary Helen married James Anderson of Glasgow, Scotland in Saskatoon on 1 September 1921. They had two children: Janet Isabelle and William James Anderson (1924 - 2014).
In the 1926 Census of the Prairie Provinces in Canada, Mary and James Anderson were enumerated in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. This census did not give James's occupation, but it does say that he immigrated from Scotland in 1913. Both their children, Janet and William, were born in Saskatchewan. [2]
In 1931, Mary and James Anderson were listed with children Janet and William in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Jim was still working as a clerk at City Hall.[3]
Mayme passed away in 1958 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Mary Anderson, date of death 24 April 1958, was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. [4]
There was a James Anderson who immigrated to Canada in 1913, age 26, listed as "Joiner", who was headed for Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
In the 1921 Census of Canada, the only James Anderson in his 30's who lived in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, was 31 years old and working as a "Clerk" at, what looks like, "City Hall". He was still single in the early part of that year, and boarding in the residence of another owner. [5]
