In 1891 Mary left Newark Mill and moved to stay with her sister, Elizabeth, on the Isle of Wight.
The Selkirk Kirk Records have an entry:
Laidlaw Mary, Newark Mill, Certificate to Harris. Isle of Wight. 30 May [18]91.
Mary died on 18 January 1899 in Ryde, Isle of Wight, Hampshire, England, and was buried in St John's Churchyard there[3].
