   Know all Men by these Presents, That we Thos Harvey, Bricklayer and Hugh Barnes, W Side, Carter, Both of Liverpool are holden and firmly bound unto the Right Reverend Father in God, Edmund by Divine Permission Lord Bishop of Chester in the Sum of one hundred Pounds of good and lawful Money of Great-Britain, to be paid unto the said Right Reverend Father his lawful Attorney, Executors, Administrators or Assigns, To which Payment well and truly to be made, we bind our selves and Each of us severally for and in the whole, our Heirs Executors and Administrators or Assigns, and the Heirs Executors and Administrators of Each of us firmly by these Presents. Sealed with our Seals, and dated the twenty fifth Day of April in the twenty sixth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord, George II King of Great-Britain, France and Ireland, Defender of the Faith, and in the Year of our Lord God, One thousand seven hundred and fifty three.
   The Condition of this Obligation is Such, That if there be not any Impediment of precontract, Consanguinity, Affinity, or other lawful Cause to hinder the Marriage of the above named Thos Harvey and Margaret Knowles of Liverpool, or any Controversy of Suit depending in any Court before any Ecclesiastical Judge, touching any Contract or Marriage of wither of the said Parties with any other; and if the said Parties have obtained thereto the express Content of their Parents if they be living, or otherwise of their Guardian or Governors, and shall celebrate the said Marriage in the Parish Church of Walton according to the Letters of Dispensation to them in that behalf granted. And finally shall at all Times hereafter save and keep harmless the above-named Lord Bishop his Chancel and his Surrogates, and all other his Officers for and concerning the granting of the said Letters; The this present Obligation to be void, or else to remain effectual in the Law.
