Sarah was wed to William Hall on 14 July 1744 in Charlestown. [6][7] Sarah and William had a daughter:
Dorcas Hall, born in 1748 in Kings county, Rhode Island. [8]
Geographical historical note
Kings county was created from Providence Plantations in 1729; it was renamed Washington County on 29 October 1781, in honour of General and President George Washington. [9]
Research
There are non-primary records that show Edward Crandall as Sarah Kenyon's husband. [10] They were married in 1742 [11] or 18 January 1753. [12][13] Is this the same Sarah Kenyon? The Sons of the American Revolution record gives the same date of birth for its Sarah Kenyon as this profile's Sarah Kenyon. However, Sarah and William Hall were married on 14 July 1744, and William Hall died on 16 March 1780. Thus, it would seem that there were two women called Sarah Kenyon living at the same time and place, married to two different men, unless Sarah and William were divorced before 1753, in order for her to marry Edward Crandall in 1753.
