Biography

Leonard was born in 1899 or 1900. He was the son of Leonard Kay and Dorcas Batten. He was underage when he enlisted for wartime service in 1915. He nonetheless served out the war and suffered a shrapnel wound to the lumbar region in 1918.

He began to sufffer heart trouble while overseas and he died of complications in 1925. Never married, no children.
