In 1911 was at school in Lawrence House, St Annes On Sea, Lancashire. ^[1]

He married Annie Eccles. Their marriage was registered in 1927 in Blackburn, Lancashire. ^[4]

In 1939, George a solicitor, was living with his wife in Park Side, Whitehall Road, Darwen. ^[5]
