Biography
Birth
Peter Jenkins was born on the 31st of January, 1818 in Thornhill, Kincardine, Perthshire, Scotland to parents John Junkine & Joanna Graham and was baptised,[1] in Kincardine parish, on the 22nd of February, 1818.
Marriage
He married[2] Jean McNee of Kincardine Parish, in Bonhill, Dunbartonshire on the 4th of June, 1836.

Emigration
They emigrated to Australia in 1852 on the Ship 'Calphurnia' arriving with six children. But after 4 years and 2 more children moved on to New Zealand on the ship 'Challenger', having another two children in Dunedin. They briefly returned to Scotland shortly after the death of Peter's father but later returned to New Zealand.
Death
Peter died[6] on the 26th of February 1881 in Duke St, Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand and was buried[7] on the 1st of March, 1881, in the Northern Cemetery, Block 14. Plot 28.
