Biography

Colonel Phelips Brooke Hanham was born on 27 March 1858. He was the son of Captain John Hanham and Amy Ursula Copland. [1]

Military

  • Phelips gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Artillery.
  • He fought in the First World War.
  • He was Assistant Inspector in 1916 at Royal Arsenal, Woolwich, Kent, England.

Marriage

Phelips married Gertude Frances Paget, daughter of Lt.-Col. Patrick Lewis Cole Paget and Frances Garth, on 9 September 1884. [2]
