Biography

He was the son of George Hamilton and Catherine Unknown. He passed away after 1800.

The History of Buffalo Presbyterian Church and Her People, Greensboro, N. C. wrongly reports that, George Hamilton's son, "John held several offices in the county..." This is incorrect. That John Hamilton who held the offices was actually the son of Hance Hamilton.
