Biography

John Gubby was born in 1887 at Richmond, Victoria, Australia. He was the second son of Martha (nee Combridge) and James Gubby, of Geelong, ^[1]

He married Annie Susan Matters, fifth daughter of Brightman Franklin and Nora S. Matters, on 8 July 1911 at the bride's parents' residence, in Graham Street, Port Melbourne, Victoria. ^{[2] [3]}

He died, aged 77, on 22 November 1964 at Malvern East, Victoria, Australia. Probate was granted on his Will on 17 February 1965. ^{[4] [5]}
