Biography
Robert was born Aug. 2, 1934 in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Maxwell and Zella Elizabeth Grimm. He moved with his family to California at the age of 10 where he attended school. Following graduation he served in the US Army in Korea. He married Doris Horsley on Nov. 24, 1956 in Reno, Nevada. They lived in California and Robert worked at Bergman's Foundry and then Vallejo Unified School District, starting as a groundsman and working his way to supervisor until his retirement in 1991. He and Doris moved to Langlois, OR in 2001 where he fished when he could, but spent his time loving and enjoying his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Doris; daughter, Kimberley Anne Cole; sons, George (Debra), Rex (Cindy), and David Foulk; sister, Beverley Jeanne (Henry) Montano; grandchildren, Valerie, Amanda, Rochelle, Jason, Jennifer and Alexander; great-grandchildren, Jason, Jr., Kaylee, Gabrielle, William and Freya.[1]
