Biography

John was born on 9 November 1829, in Irvine, Ayrshire, Scotland, the son of John Gibson and Mary Brown.

John married Margaret Craig on 11 March 1857 at their residence, 8 Douglas Street, Glasgow, according to a United Presbyterian Church ceremony officiated by Minister G Marshall Middleton.[1][2][3]

John died on the 5 November 1897 at Austin Hospital, Plenty Road, Heidelberg, Victoria.[4]
